Convocation 2018: Tuesday, 26 June
The GRADUATION CEREMONY (CONVOCATION) will be held in the MultiPlex. The event will begin promptly at 1:00 pm. Graduands should report to the Cafeteria between 12:15–12:30 pm to facilitate grad gown assignment, etc. With the exception of jackets, FULL DRESS CODE is mandatory (dress shirt, dress pants, dress socks & shoes, and tie). Earrings are NOT allowed. Students who do not comply with the dress code as described will not participate in the afternoon’s activities. We encourage graduands and their parents to invite family and friends to this event.
Members of Maroon and White will be available to help facilitate parking and entry into the MultiPlex beginning at noon. Golf carts will be available to shuttle guests needing assistance between parking lots and the MultiPlex before and after convocation.
Parking for the Graduation Convocation Ceremony
Please note that parking in the Multiplex lot off of Holland Boulevard may be limited to accommodate to invited guests/award presenters who will receive a parking pass for the event along with their invitation. There will be a limited number of remaining parking spaces in the lot that will be taken up on a first come, first served basis. The main Student Parking Lot will also be available.
Lift of Restrictions on Parking
The Winnipeg Parking Authority has advised that the time restrictions for Driscoll and Bower Blvd have been lifted from 11:00am to 4:00pm on Tuesday, 26 June. All other streets in the area do not have a time restriction on them and attendees can park on those streets provided they pay heed to loading zones, fire hydrants or no parking signs posted.
URGENT: Parent Volunteers Needed for Convocation (June 26)
The Parent Guild is in dire need of 5–10 parents (grades 9–11) to help before, during, and after convocation and the reception which follows directly after convocation. Please contact Margaret Haugen if you can lend a hand for either shift: 10:00AM–12:00PM or 1:00–4:30PM. We would be EXTREMELY grateful!
