Crusader Golf: Provincial Championship Qualifiers
For the second year in a row, the Crusader Golf teams won both WWAC titles in the Weir and Ames divisions. In the Weir Division, the team showed complete dominance by not surrendering a point the entire year. The pairing of Sam Diamond '16 and Cole Uzat '16 did not lose a single hole throughout the season in match play. With Seniors largely ineligible for playoff competition, the pairings of Josh Shuster '18 and Torrin Bilan '18, as well as Connor Donovan Stewart '17 and Will Moncrieff '17 saw the Crusaders through to the Weir Division Championship while the pairings of Jonah Perron '18 and Zack Johnson '18 as well as Duncan Gowler '17 and Noah Johnstone '19 secured the Ames Division Championship.
The boys look forward to competing again in the Provincial Championships in the Fall and a return to the Antigua National Invitational in Phoenix as well as a short summer trip to Ohio, where the boys will play at the Lakota East Invitational and the Sycamore Golf Invitational near Cincinnati.

Notice of Changes: Winnipeg Transit
Winnipeg Transit will be launching a new smartcard system to replace paper bus tickets and bus passes. St. Paul's has been asked by Winnipeg Transit to share the notice linked below with parents.
Wpg Transit Notice to Parents
After doing ridership checks on all of our School Charters, Wpg Transit has determined that the St. Paul’s charter bus operating to Polo Park has been carrying very few students (averaging 3 to 6). As such, Wpg Transit will no longer offer this charter effective September 2016. For students requiring transportation to Polo Park, there is a Route 95 trip available at approximately 3:30 pm at St. Paul's, arriving at Polo Park at 3:47 pm.
The other school charter that operates to downtown is not affected and will continue to operate, and Wpg Transit will continue to send a bus on early dismissal days.
Farewell to Staff
We wish to acknowledge the departure of several staff members who will not be returning in September. Mr Ted Hasiuk and Mr Denis Vouriot are both retiring after many years of generous service to the St. Paul’s High School community. In addition, Mrs Lisa Cadez, Ms MaryJane MacLennan, Mr Marc de Asis, and Mr Derek Frykas will also be leaving St. Paul's to pursue other opportunities. To all of them, we extend our best wishes and our gratitude for their service to St. Paul's High School and we wish them all well in their future endeavors.
A Year-at-a-glance calendar for the upcoming school year is now available. It is intended as a quick reference to identify no school days, exam schedule dates, early dismissals, scheduled masses and assemblies, and days of the school cycle. Our full calendar will be released late-August with more details. In addition, we will publish our regular month-by-month calendar on this news page.

After this victory, the Crusaders were looking at a rematch of the City Finals they lost against Glenlawn a week earlier (12–5). This time, our boys played an exceptional game and defeated Glenlawn with a final score of 36–0 to capture the Provincial Championship for the third consecutive year.
