Parent Guild Update
The Casino Royale Fashion Show took place at the Victoria Inn on 23 April. What a great night! Due to the efforts of Pamela Clarke, Jodee Stewart, and their committee, thousands of dollars were raised for the Magis Fund. We are extremely grateful for all your hard work.
A Custodial Appreciation Luncheon was put on by Patty Veert and her team of volunteers on 1 May. It was very well received and we were happy to recognize our wonderful St. Paul’s Custodial Staff.
A Grade 10 Bake Sale occurred on 7 May. Organized by Andrea Weber Ethans and run by a dedicated team of ladies, the lunch hour event was popular with the student body. We appreciate all the Grade 10 parents that took the time to create and deliver Rice Krispie Treats and/or cupcakes. A Grade 9 Bake Sale is on the calendar for 13 May.
A reminder of the upcoming Spring Band Concert & Reception on Wednesday, 13 May. Coordinator Ann Downey is still looking for some volunteers to set-up (7:00pm–8:30pm), during the event (8:00pm–9:00pm) and take-down (9:00pm–10:00pm). Please contact Ann Downey if you are available to lend a hand.
Finally, the Guild is in urgent need of 1 person to work a Bingo on 12 May and 3 people 10 June. Both shifts are from 4:30–6:30pm at McPhillips Street Station. St. Paul's High School is at risk of losing its fundraising privileges with the Manitoba Schools Association if we do not supply volunteers. Coordinator Carolyn Pinette would be thrilled to hear from you if you have some time to help. Please email Carolyn if you are available to assist with the Bingo.
